Here's 200 minutes of UK Grime firepower for BJJ.
Although it seems a little similar to Hip Hop, sharing themes like battles, cyphers, and dialogue about black youth culture, it's considered its own thing, having evolved from UK garage and dancehall, and spread via pirate radio stations like Rinse FM, where Dizzee Rascal and Wiley got a lot of exposure starting out.
The pirate radio scene in London has always been intriguing—broadcasting from ships offshore in international waters and illicit terrestrial broadcasts that you'd search for between two licensed stations. The closest I could get growing up in a small city in Western Canada was Pump Up The Volume, which I didn't end up seeing well into the late 90s, and was mostly remarkable for Samantha Mathis' topless scene.
This playlist features the masters of the style in some of their most popular tracks. Most of what's happening here is 140 BPM so if you're planning on having some hard rolls the music is probably going to be in time with your heartbeat when you're either wristlocking uppity juniors or getting destroyed by the senior belts.
